The KHSAA is working to set up local and regional chapters of the Association to encourage more active participation in alumni activities.
The Hawaii Dragons are a model of this plan. These Dragons organize frequent events and keep in touch on a regular basis. They are independent of the larger organization yet keep it informed.
The plan is to emulate their close-knit community by identifying local and regional contacts who will coordinate the alumni that live in their areas. To do this, we must get class representatives and volunteers to coordinate their local chapters.
The regional chapters will be:
- Northwest: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming
- Southwest: California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico
- Midwest: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan
- South Central : Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana
- Northeast: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusets, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine
- Southeast: Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida
- Hawaii: All Islands
- Alaska/Canada
- Asia/Pacific
- Europe/Atlantic
It will be the responsibilty of the regional chapters to identify and form local chapters if necessary. |
